Cornell University Cooperative Extension of Broome County offers workshops, tours,
site visits and other education programs for private forest owners interested in timber production, wildlife management, and related topics. For landowner site visits, please
view the Master Forest Owner information below. If you would like to receive information
on workshops and other education opportunities, please send your name and mailing
address to pak35@cornell.edu with a note that you would like to be added to our forest owners contact list.

Master Forest Owner/COVERTS Program

Master Forest Owner (MFO) volunteers are graduates of a 4-day training program where
they learn about timber and wildlife management, forest economics, and ecology. MFO volunteers conduct free site visits for landowners with 5 or more acres of forestland. To arrange a visit call Kevin Mathers at (607) 584-5013.
